What SiteScore checks
We open your site exactly like a brand-new visitor — once on a computer, once on a phone — and check the things that win or lose customers. Each of the 10 angles gets a mark out of 10; your overall score is the average. Here's what each angle asks, in plain words.
Calls to action
When someone lands on your page, is it obvious what to do next?
- Is there one clear button telling visitors what to do first?
- Do several buttons fight for attention on the first screen?
- Does the main button say what you get — or just “click here”?
- …and 1 more thing we measure in this angle — your report shows what we found on your site.
Trust
Does the site look like a real business people can safely contact?
- Is the connection secure — the padlock every browser shows?
- Is there a privacy page? Required in the EU, and customers look for it.
- Are there visible contact details — an email, a phone, a page?
- …and 2 more things we measure in this angle — your report shows what we found on your site.
Mobile
Does it actually work on a phone — where most of your visitors are?
- Does the page fit a phone screen, without sideways scrolling?
- Are the buttons big enough for a thumb?
- Is the text readable without pinching and zooming?
- …and 1 more thing we measure in this angle — your report shows what we found on your site.
Performance
Does it show up fast — or do people leave before it loads?
- How long until a visitor sees something on the screen?
- How heavy is the page on mobile data?
- How many separate things does the page load before it's ready?
- …and 1 more thing we measure in this angle — your report shows what we found on your site.
UX
Do titles, links and forms tell people where they're going?
- Does the browser tab — and Google — show a proper title?
- Does every link say where it goes, or just “learn more”?
- Do form fields explain what to type in them?
- …and 1 more thing we measure in this angle — your report shows what we found on your site.
Accessibility
Can everyone read it — small screens, bright sun, weaker eyesight?
- Is the text dark enough against its background to read in daylight?
- Do images carry descriptions for people who can't see them?
- Is the page organised so assistive tools can follow it?
- …and 1 more thing we measure in this angle — your report shows what we found on your site.
Design
Does it look cared for — or thrown together?
- Does the typography look deliberate, or like five different fonts?
- Are photos stretched or squashed out of shape?
- Does the layout hold together on a big screen?
- …and 1 more thing we measure in this angle — your report shows what we found on your site.
SEO
Can Google find, understand and rank this page?
- Is the page allowed to be indexed at all — or does a stray tag hide it?
- Is there a canonical link, so your page doesn’t compete with itself?
- Do a sitemap.xml and a robots.txt tell crawlers where to go?
- …and 1 more thing we measure in this angle — your report shows what we found on your site.
AI visibility
When someone asks ChatGPT or Perplexity, can your site be the answer?
- Are AI assistants allowed in — or blocked in robots.txt?
- Does structured data tell machines what you are?
- Is there an llms.txt — the summary answer engines read first?
- …and 1 more thing we measure in this angle — your report shows what we found on your site.
Security
Is the site protected against the tricks that hijack visitors?
- Does the certificate have enough life left, or does it expire next week?
- Does anything on the page still load over an insecure connection?
- Can another site put yours inside a frame and take the clicks?
- …and 2 more things we measure in this angle — your report shows what we found on your site.
How the score works
Every angle starts at a perfect 10, and each problem we find takes something off — the more it costs you a customer, the more it costs the score. Your overall number is simply the average of the ten, so a site can't hide a broken phone experience behind a fast server. No opinions, no curve — just what the browser saw.
